Start Location:

G3 race III - Newlands Corner, Drove Road, Guildford, GU4 8SE

Timings:

0630 registration opens.

0745 registration closes.

0755 Race director brief on the start line.

0800 Start for all.

Parking: Limited parking at Newlands corner, so PLEASE PLEASE share lifts and park conscientiously.

Toilets: On site and 2 porterloos near the start for that last minute calling of nature! Please arrive early or perhaps go before you set off from home. We will not delay start.

The route: It’s a new route so please follow those route markers. It will not be the same route as previous races! There will still be hills and a cracking sunrise. You will need your trail shoes.

There are technical descents and ascents, road crossings and short sections of running on tarmac for both distances (Water Lane and Halfpenny Lane). “Pavement” is a word you G3 runners may not know! There is one on the 15k route. Please use it.

Horses, mountain bikers, dog walkers: Always be aware of them. You will likely encounter them so please be sensible. If approaching a horse from behind, let the rider know as soon as you can.

Refreshments: Brownies, bananas, coffee, tea and snacks after the race.

Post race breakfast: There are 2 cafes in the immediate area of Newlands Corner.
